昨天我们学习ACCA课程的F3商业会计，话题是Financial Accounting。上个学期在美国我学习了Financial Accounting，所以我觉得昨天的课很容易，可是我知道Financial Accounting很难理解，因为跟学习新的语言一样。加上我认为如果英文不是一个人的母语，用英文学习会计特别难。即使一个人的母语是英文，用英文学习会计还是有点难！我们的老师告诉我她用英文学习会计，可是她要用英文和中文教这门课。这个事情很难做，因为你不能直接翻译会计的英文单词，因为在中文没有完全对应的词，只有差不多的，所以她得自己用中文解释英文的会计专业词。另外英文会计的词跟日常用语不一样，所以即使一个人懂英文，不一定懂英文的会计专业词。我惊讶我的同事可以把那么难的会计课学得这么快，这么好！他们很厉害！


Yesterday we studied F3 at our ACCA business accounting class. The topic was financial accounting. Last semester I studied financial accounting in the U.S., so I thought yesterdays class was pretty easy. However, I know that financial accounting is very difficult to understand because it’s like studying a new language. Also, I think if English isn’t someone’s native language, using English to study accounting is especially hard. Even if English is someone’s first language, using English to study accounting is still a little difficult! Our teacher told me that she used English when she studied Accounting, but she uses both English and Chinese to teach this class. This is very difficult to do because you can’t just translate accounting vocabulary from English. This is because the Chinese language doesn’t have words that mean exactly the same thing. Chinese only has words that sort of mean the same thing. Therefore, our teacher has to explain the accounting vocabulary herself. In addition, English accounting words have different meanings than they do when used in everyday life, so even if a person can understand English, it doesn’t necessarily mean that they will understand English accounting vocabulary. I was so surprised how quickly my coworkers were learning such difficult accounting topics! They are great!
