The purchase returns day book included a sales credit note for $230 which had been entered correctly in the account of the custrmer concerned,but included with purchase returns in the nomimal ledger.

Cr purchase returns 230
Dr receivable 230

i think the 230 in the nominal ledge is including the purchase return , and you need to take that part out.
