Unlike climbing a real mountain,we are not supposed to know when we peak while it's a mountain of our life.But for most of us,who are grinding at obtaining the qualification of ACCA,we know that we are still on a road uphill because we are labouring on rather than sliding off,breathing heavily rather than whistling lightly,and mostly,we have not yet seen the grand magnificence when we peak.
For Richard Nixon,former President of US,the magnificence of the top would not be distinct from the flatness of the bottom if he hadn’t climbed from nadir up.As Nixon said in his concession speech-only when you’ve been to the deepest valley,can you ever know the magnificence when you are on the highest mountain-he has a point.Although,for most of us,there is no way to feel the magnificence of the top right now,with the firm belief that the best is still ahead of us,we have a reason to soldier on.
Yet the fragility of the hope is likely to be exhibited even if the reason so sufficient,the belief so strong,especially when given the fact that the mountain to be conquered is high and challenging.That is why it would be nice to have partners when climbing such a mountain,not only to spice the flat journey upwards,but mostly to lift each other up for one to see clearly the summit when it is getting blured and to push one another on with an extra hand.The ACCA forum we have here is of that function.I would personally like to thank the forum and all the staff and advocator behind it.As well as being materially benefited,I have been spiritually motivated by the wisdom of the words.Every name I encountered has a up-and-coming mind behind that I lacked when I was hopelessly engaged and miraculously reinstated the hope back in place.
That is the power of being participative in a forum where common beliefs are shared and enhanced-and that power is unbelivable!It is similar to being a fan of a football club,although significantly smaller in size.When Steven Gerrard,Liverpool Football Club’s captain,lifted the trophy of top European soccer championship for the first time in 21 years,behind the chatter of the TV commentators,I could just make out 40,000 voices singing their club’s anthem,You’ll Never Walk Alone.And that’s when I started to cry-even if I personally am not a fan of Liverpool.
That is the power of belonging to a group where distance and geography are not an issue,where each individual power is pooled to give an even larger sum,where we all commit to a single goal with constant passion.What does joining a good forum mean?It means:You’ll never walk alone!
The road uphill,it turns out,is kind of nice-especially when we are climbing altogether!
